How to prepare fish maw?

  • Fish maw must be soaked for hours, usually overnight before it can be prepared.

  • Fish maw is a suitable alternative for shark’s fin and bird’s nest in soups or stews, as they are banned in many countries.

To prepare our premium fish maw :

  • Soak dried fish maw in cold water for a day;

  • Boil a pot of water ,water level must be enough to cover fish maw;

  • Put a few slices of ginger, some spring onion and fish maw in the pot;

  • Keep boiling for another 5 minutes, turn off fire. Keep pot cover closed, soak fish maw in boiled water overnight;

  • Take soaked fish maw from the pot, wash in cold water and it’s ready to use.

  • It can be kept in freezer for future use.
